The artwork "Well Thought-Out Strategy" is a dynamic installation in which a wooden mechanical arm repeatedly performs a paper-cutting action. This creative piece is now on display at the "Dian Xi Yi Ben – Shadow Puppetry and Contemporary Art Exhibition" at Nanchizi Museum in Beijing.
According to its creator Tang Zhengwei, he aims to distill and restore the purest language of paper-cutting art through the simple motion of paper strips being cut and falling. Tang explained that the front part of the art installation presents the visual imagery of the conceptual process, divided into five layers, progressing step by step. The paper strips diffuse in a wave-like pattern, transforming into a form filled with energy. And in the last part, these elements converge and integrate, conveying the profound meaning and tension inherent in paper-cutting art.
