China is making significant advancements in nuclear fusion energy innovation. Duan Xuru is the chief nuclear fusion scientist at China National Nuclear Corporation, and a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee, China's top political advisory body. He spoke to CGTN's Zheng Yibing about the development of China's "artificial sun" reactors, and China's role in the international nuclear fusion engineering project known as ITER.
