Zhao Dan and Lin Qinwei of China earned the skeleton mixed team bronze medal at the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation World Championships in Lake Placid, New York, on Sunday.

The Chinese pair finished the final in 1:54.81, behind the champions Mystique Ro and Austin Florian of the U.S. who clocked 1:54.53 and the runners-up Tabitha Stoecker and Matt Weston of Britain.

The other Chinese pair, Li Yuxi and Chen Wenhao, came in eighth.

The skeleton mixed team event will be included in the Winter Olympic Games for the first time in 2026 in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. Zhao and Lin won China's first World Cup title in the event in Winterberg, Germany, in early January.
