On March 10, a new unit of the Jurong pumped storage power project was put into operation in East China's Jiangsu Province. The project consists of upper and lower reservoirs connected by a water delivery system, a ground switch station, and an underground powerhouse equipped with six reversible pump-turbine units. The upper reservoir dam stands at 182.3 meters, making it the tallest of its kind worldwide.
