Which foods should be consumed in spring? What kind of habits lead to healthier bodies?
In this episode of PAGE X, Zhang Dongyuan, a seventh-generation inheritor of Yang-style tai chi, shares health recommendations from "Huang Di Nei Jing," or "The Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon." It is China's earliest medical text and one of the four classic books of traditional Chinese medicine. It presents dialogues about medical concepts between the Yellow Emperor (Huangdi) and his advisor Qibo.
Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese martial art with a nearly 400-year history, developed into five major schools – Chen, Yang, Wu (Yuxiang), Wu (Quanyou) and Sun – each named after its founding master. While these schools differ in movements and techniques, they all share the goal of harmonizing body and mind.
