The Embassy of Iceland in China and the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) hosted a well-attended event on March 6, 2025, focusing on advancing gender equality and renewable energy, further highlighting cooperation between China and Iceland.
At an event marking the 30th anniversary of the embassy's establishment in Beijing, Icelandic Ambassador to China Thorir Ibsen reflected on the longstanding cooperation between Iceland and China on geothermal projects since 1980. He praised the success of this collaboration and encouraged further partnerships in line with bilateral agreements, gender equality initiatives, and advancements in geothermal energy and geosciences.
