The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council said on Wednesday that it has never changed its basic position on the Taiwan question. When asked about the Taiwan-related contents in the government work reports in 2024 and 2025, a spokesperson reiterated the mainland's position, saying that the "peaceful reunification; one country, two systems" is the basic principle of solving the Taiwan question.
