Since studying printmaking in Belgium under renowned artist Guy-Henri Dacos, Qu Liangchen has played a pivotal role in fostering cultural exchanges between China and Europe. He once organized an activity in Belgium to illuminate a town with 100,000 Chinese lanterns, showcasing traditional Chinese culture, and in 2021 curated an exhibition of Guy-Henri Dacos' work in China to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Belgium.
