Born near Lhasa's Norbulingka, Balok Tenzin Dorje was identified as the Living Buddha of Yangri Gar Monastery when he was eight. While mastering Buddhist teachings, he also studied Chinese, English, painting, and music. Today, he is a key inheritor of Milarepa's ancient songs, blending tradition with modern expression.
