Zezhou County in Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, has entered the crucial season for chili cultivation. Local farmers have been busy sowing seeds in a high-standard agricultural field, which was transformed from wasteland on a riverbank. This year, the local agricultural cooperative has expanded its chili farmland to 40 hectares, with around 30 million chili seedlings being sowed. And one third of the farmland was reclaimed from wasteland along the river.
