Beijing-based private aerospace company Galactic Energy has carried out a new launch of its flagship rocket model, the CERES-1, with eight satellites aboard. The CERES-1 Y10 carrier rocket lifted off at 4:07 p.m. (Beijing Time) on March 17 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China. The mission, dubbed " Auld Lang Syne," delivered the Yunyao-1 55-60, AIRSAT-06 and AIRSAT-07 satellites into a 535-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit. The rocket manufacturer Galactic Energy says its CERES-1 model has so far completed 17 launches, sending a total number of 71 satellites into preset orbits.
