China's electric vehicle (EV) maker BYD has launched its Super e-Platform, which promises to reduce charging time and redefine convenience for drivers.
The new system delivers a 400-kilometer range with just five minutes of charging, matching the refueling speed of a gasoline car.
"Our goal is simple: make EV charging as quick as stopping at a gas station," BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu said at a recent launch.
The company says it plans to build over 4,000 "megawatt flash charging stations" across China.
