March 19 marks the 14th anniversary of a freight train service connecting southwest China's city of Chongqing to western Germany's city of Duisburg. The Chonqing-Duisburg route is one of several lines on the China-Europe freight train network. Since 2011, this route has operated more than 16,000 trips covering 117 cities across Europe and Asia.
