China's top sports authority has started the selection process to choose a new head coach for the country's women's national volleyball team.
According to an announcement distributed and posted on Tuesday, the new head coach should possess a clear coaching style, outstanding management ability, and profound coaching experience to lead the squad in major competitions like the World Championship, Asian Games, Summer Olympics, and similar events during the 2025-2028 cycle.
Candidates are required to submit their applications before March 25.
At the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, China reached the quarterfinals under coach Cai Bin, who began his tenure in February 2022. He guided the team to the Federation of International Volleyball (FIVB) Women's Volleyball Nations League final, and the squad secured top honors at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province in 2023.
