2025 Zhongguancun Forum to highlight innovation and tech cooperation

The 2025 Zhongguancun Forum (ZGC Forum) will take place from March 27 to 31 in Beijing, centering on the theme "New Quality Productive Forces and Global Technological Cooperation," according to a press conference on Thursday.

This year's forum will feature five major sections with 128 activities, including forums and conferences, technology transactions, achievement releases, cutting-edge competitions and supporting events.

According to the press conference, the 2025 ZGC Forum will highlight four key aspects:

1. Emphasis on technological frontiers: The forum will host specialized events and major achievement releases focusing on cutting-edge fields such as AI large models, embodied intelligence, quantum technology, biomedicine, 6G and brain-computer interfaces. These discussions will delve into emerging technology trends and industrial development.

2. Focus on outcome sharing: The forum will facilitate collaboration through a technology transaction conference, cutting-edge tech competitions and significant achievement releases. By connecting government, industry, academia, research and finance, the platform aims to accelerate the industrialization of major scientific advancements and foster new quality productive forces.

3. Talent exchange: Dedicated events such as the Outstanding Young Scientists Development Forum, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum for Overseas Returnees, and the Women in Science and Technology Innovation Forum will provide opportunities for scientific communities to connect and inspire innovation.

4. Open cooperation: The forum will feature intergovernmental science and technology cooperation dialogues while inviting international tech organizations, scientists, entrepreneurs and investors to participate, creating a platform for global innovation exchange and collaboration.

During the opening ceremony, key achievements from the ZGC Forum will be announced, including the debut of the "Top 10 Advances in Chinese Science."

Established in 2007 with the permanent theme of "Innovation and Development," the ZGC Forum has successfully held 15 editions, featuring thousands of parallel forums and supporting events that have attracted hundreds of thousands of participants.
