Kirsty Coventry was elected as the 10th president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Thursday, making history as the first woman and first African to lead the global Olympic movement.

During a press conference, China Media Group reporter Yang Mingjiao asked Coventry about the relationship between China and the IOC and her plans to further strengthen it. Coventry emphasized that the partnership has always been strong and will continue to grow.
