Yunnan's arabica coffee has been making waves. During his inspection tour in the province on March 19, Chinese President Xi Jinping was invited by a local resident for a cup of coffee. He replied, "Yunnan coffee represents China and is well-loved abroad." As the region shifts from raw bean production to crafting premium coffee, local governments, farmers, and entrepreneurs are working together to build a more sustainable and competitive industry.
