Analyst: U.S. port fee could disrupt supply chains, impact U.S. consumers

The Trump administration is considering additional fees of up to $1.5 million on Chinese-made ships or fleets containing Chinese-made ships that dock at U.S. ports. Zhou Mi, a senior research fellow at the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, warns that it could further destabilize global supply chains and eventually affect American consumers.
