Boao in south China's Hainan Province is once again capturing the world's attention. The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2025 is being held there from March 25 to 28, with the theme "Asia in the Changing World: Towards a Shared Future."
In our We Talk Boao special series, International students from Asian countries studying in China engage in cooperation among youth to explore new trends in Asian development from a global perspective. They strive to provide new ideas for addressing current global issues.
This video features international students from Malaysia, Indonesia and Kyrgyzstan, who share their experiences of collaborating with classmates from different countries and explain how they tackle challenges. They also discuss the advantages and potential of the international student community in promoting cooperation between countries based on their individual experiences. Among them, Adel Baktygulova, a student from Kyrgyzstan, notes that international students bring their own country's traditions, values and perspectives while learning about the local culture. She says this two-way exchange fosters mutual understanding, breaks down stereotypes, and helps build trust and goodwill.
