The Beijing Ducks defeated the Nanjing Monkey Kings 101-98 on the road in Nanjing, east China's Jiangsu Province, on Tuesday, securing their 31st win of the regular season and rising to third in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) standings.

Kendric Davis and Tacko Fall showed great offensive aggression by charging the visitors' paint from the beginning while Zhao Boqing added triples for Nanjing to lead by around five points during most time. Chen Ying-Chun's three-pointer at the end of the quarter cut Beijing's deficit to 28-25.

Chen was joined by Eugene German and Fang Shuo from downtown in the second quarter. Their sharp firepower from the outside put Beijing on top 51-48 when there was less than two minutes to go. Nuni Omot added another four for the visitors as they finished the quarter with a 55-52 advantage.

Davis remained unstoppable at the offensive end in the third quarter, but Beijing also had contributions from different players including German, Zhou Qi and Zeng Fanbo. Their lead stood after this quarter stood at 84-81.

Davis increased his points to court-high 41 in the fourth quarter and he delivered nine assists as well. He was hit in the face and had to be taken out for a medical treatment when there were less than three minutes left. The game was tied 95-95. Zhou and German added six points for Beijing. Though Zhu drained a triple for Nanjing, it was too little, too late to reverse the situation.

In the other game on the night, the Tianjin Pioneers defeated the Ningbo Rockets 111-104 on the road.
