China held Vietnam 1-1 in their final game at the Under-22 International Invitation Tournament in Yancheng, east China's Jiangsu Province, on Tuesday, winning the title with an undefeated record of one win and two draws.
Kuai Jiwen nearly put the hosts ahead in the first half after his shot hit the bar. However, Nguyen Quoc Viet netted first for the visitors in the 31st minute.
Mutellip Iminqari was taken down in the box in the 71st minute when he tried to cut inside, earning China a penalty kick. Afrden Asqer made the shot and tied the score for China.
China had to play one man down after Zhang Yixuan received his second yellow card for a tackle, but the hosts allowed no goals in the rest of the game for a draw.
Having held Uzbekistan 0-0 and defeated South Korea 1-0 in their previous two games, China finished the tournament with five points, lifting the championship trophy at home.
