Britain's economy is forecast to grow by only half as much as expected this year, Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves said on Wednesday as she updated the government's spending plans to parliament.
Gross domestic product is set to be one percent this year, down on a GDP estimate of two percent made in late October, Reeves said as she pointed to the impact of "increased global uncertainty" on the economy.
