A glimpse of Tang Dynasty's palace complex design

CGTN

Let's journey back to ancient China and explore Daming Palace, the epicenter of political power and architectural brilliance during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Built in 634 under Emperor Taizong and expanded by Emperor Gaozong, Daming Palace served as an imperial residence and administrative hub for over 200 years. It was the heart of Changan, then the world's largest city and eastern terminus of the Silk Road. The palace, which embodies the wisdom and philosophical thoughts of ancient Chinese architecture, witnessed the zenith of the Tang-dynasty culture – a golden age of poetry, trade and diplomacy.
