Liu Mengting and Han Linshan of China both qualified for the women's big air freeski final at the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships in the Engadin region, Switzerland, on Wednesday.

A total of four Chinese athletes participated in the qualification competitions. Liu came in fourth with 166.25 points. Han was in the eighth place with 158.75 points. Both will appear in the final on Thursday. Their compatriots, Yang Ruyi and Xiong Wenhui, came in 12th and 23rd respectively, disqualified for the final.

2025 Asian Winter Games women's big air snowboard gold medalist Xiong Shirui of China failed to advance to the event's final at the World Championships in Engadin. She received 52.75 points in her first run and surpassed 60 in both the second and third tries. In the end, Xiong came in 14th with 130.25 points.

Despite the result, Xiong said she's basically satisfied with her performance.
