The Boao Forum for Asia 2025 is in full swing. On March 25th, two major reports were released. The annual report title "Addressing Climate Change: Asia Going Green," highlights Asia's rapid progress in emerging green technologies and how it is poised to become a global leader in advanced battery materials, bio-based biodegradable plastics, green hydrogen, carbon capture, utilization, and storage( CCUS), and digital carbon management. At the Boao Forum, CGTN reporter Xu Yi spoke with Wang Yao, Director General of the International Institute of Green Finance at the Central University of Finance and Economics, who said Asia is driving its green transition through a multi-pronged approach encompassing policy frameworks, industry guidance, and market forces. She noted that technological advancements and climate financing are the two key drivers accelerating this transformation.
