Latest situation after magnitude-7.7 quake hits Myanmar

- At least 144 people were killed and hundreds injured in Myanmar after a magnitude-7.7 quake hit the country on Friday, according to local government officials.

- In neighboring Thailand, search efforts continued for over 110 people unaccounted for after an unfinished high-rise collapsed in the capital, Bangkok, claiming eight lives on Friday.

- In southwest China's Yunnan Province, two people were injured and over 1,700 were affected by the quake in Ruili City. The Chinese Foreign Ministry confirmed that no deaths have been reported among Chinese nationals in Myanmar.

- The United Nations allocated an emergency $5 million to Myanmar for earthquake aid on Friday while determining additional needs and coordinating the response.
