A magnitude-7.7 earthquake struck Myanmar on Friday, according to the local government. Rescue efforts are underway, and Myanmar's military government has declared a state of emergency in six regions. The strong earthquake sent schools and workplaces into chaos as local residents reported violent shaking, dizziness and lingering trauma.
