The Boao Forum for Asia has concluded its annual conference in southern China's Hainan Province. World leaders gathered to discuss growth, cooperation, and tackling global challenges.
Among them was Kairat Sarybay, the secretary general of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, or CICA. In an exclusive interview to CGTN, he tells that the organization is reaffirming its commitment to multilateralism. Representing 28 member states and 95 percent of Asia's population, CICA promotes dialogue and cooperation over confrontation.
Secretary General Sarybay emphasized China's vital role in the organization – from spearheading initiatives to fostering regional connectivity and security.
