The Chinese Red Cross International Emergency Response Team arrived in Mandalay early on Monday and began search and rescue operations following the magnitude-7.9 earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28. The team will assist with structure demolition, search and rescue operations, medical transport, healthcare, and psychological counseling. At least 2,056 people have died, 3,900 have been injured, and 270 remain missing, according to local officials.
