At least 2,719 people were killed, more than 4,521 injured and over 440 missing after a magnitude-7.9 quake hit Myanmar, China Media Group reported on Tuesday, citing Myanmar's State Administration Council Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
Myanmar declared a week of national mourning on Monday over the quake.
Meanwhile, authorities in Bangkok, Thailand, said on Tuesday that 20 people were killed as of 8 a.m. local time.
Search and rescue efforts are ongoing as international aid poured in to join the quake relief efforts.
