The 72-hour golden rescue window for Myanmar's earthquake is about to close. Mandalay, the epicenter, is currently experiencing a dry and hot season, with temperatures reaching up to 40 degrees Celsius. Liu Junzhi, associate professor at the School of National Safety and Emergency Management at Beijing Normal University in south China's Zhuhai City, warns that food and medicine are spoiling before reaching survivors, turning it into a race against heat, disease and time.
