The annual Zhongguancun Forum wraps up in Beijing today. The Zhongguancun Forum is a platform for exchanges in innovations in science and technology. Robotics is top on the forum's agenda, with the skills of humanoid robots taking center stage. Liu Jiaxin has the story.

LIU JIAXIN Beijing "No one is making tea for me, the robotic arm operates that."

"I'm not playing this piano, but that doesn't stop it from giving a performance."

"No one to play chess with? Join this little guy."

"Can't do embroidery? Leave it to my buddy."

YANG MINGHUI Staff of Beijing Dahao Technology "What you see here is a computer embroidery machine. Its main function is to embroider words, graffiti and pictures. It has machine vision."

CHEN ZHEN Brand Marketing Supervisor Soft Robot Tech "This is our soft gel hand, which is currently mainly used in the production and manufacturing of food and auto parts. It can replace manual work in sorting, handling and packaging."

Highly practical and filled with universal appeal, these robots can be categorized as for fun. But there's another category that may not be fully understood by everyone, but is highly praised by professionals.

TIAN WEI Marketing Director Beijing WeMed Medical Technology "Our interventional surgical robot obtained the NMPA registration certificate in China on March 21 this year. Traditional interventional surgeons wore lead coats and used their hands to feel the resistance and safety of the guide wire in the human blood vessels by the catheter bed. This process has now been digitized and standardized, enabling the system to provide corresponding visual feedback and haptic feedback when the wire encounters vascular walls or plaques."

Since when have people become accustomed to the existence of these robots? Coming to the Zhongguancun Forum for the third year, it's clear people are no longer surprised or afraid of these metal assistants.

ALKHALLOUFI TOUMERT Special Consultant to the Ambassador of Morocco "It's impressive. You can have a robot making coffee. Year after year, I can see the changes. I can see that China is really taking a leap with all kinds of technologies."

DR. LIONEL MBANDA Director, Partnerships & External Relations Global Youth Leadership Development Council "Robotics is a big opportunity. See how far we could go, the human imagination could go. It makes life more simple, more sustainable."

Experts say the emergence of unicorn enterprises in China, combined with mature industrial development and clear policies, have contributed to the progress in robotics. If one thing is guaranteed, it's that the robotics show is not limited to this spring or this building, but will continue revolutionizing life in China and the world. Liu Jiaxin, CGTN, Beijing.
