Incumbent World Anti-Doping Agency President Witold Banka is set to be re-elected unopposed in May, as the organization revealed on Monday that Banka is the only candidate standing and had submitted his application for re-election.
The election will take place during WADA's virtual foundation board meeting on May 29, and if re-elected, Banka's new term would run for three years from January 1, 2026 until the end of December in 2028.
Incumbent Vice-President Yang Yang is also set to be re-elected unopposed. Banka and Yang have held their respective WADA positions since the start of January 2020.
