Lion's head pastries are a fashionable Chinese delicacy that perfectly combines elements of the lion dance with traditional Chinese patisserie. Its production process is rather complex and takes at least four to five hours.

First created with great ingenuity by Chen Xiaodong, a chef born in 2000, this unique pastry has gained wide popularity on the internet through his cooking videos. The lion's head pastry is not just an eye-catching treat but also a unique and innovative carrier of lion dance culture.

In an exclusive interview with CGTN, Chen Xiaodong recreated the delicate pastry, while the young chef came up with the ingenious idea of adding the CGTN logo to the lion's head.
