Qingdao West Coast came back to defeat Henan 3-2 on the road in Zhengzhou, central China's Henan Province, on Tuesday, remaining undefeated after four games in the new Chinese Super League (CSL) season.
The hosts led 16 minutes into the first half when Frank Acheampong's cross was handled by Qingdao's defender Riccieli inside the box. A penalty kick was given to Henan and Felippe Cardoso scored it to put his side ahead 1-0.
The visitors tied the score early in the second half when Duan Liuyu neatly place the ball into the bottom right corner of the net with the inside of his boot.
Remarkable efforts by three Brazilian players gave Henan the lead again in the 63rd minute. Bruno Nazario's cross from right found Cardoso who headed the ball to Acheampong to score a header.
The most crucial moments came during stoppage time. Henan's defender lost the ball in the back field and Xu Bin's pass reached Riccieli who knocked in the equalizer in the 92nd minute.
One minute later, Zhang Xiuwei's attempt that looked like both a shot and a pass from outside the box was pounced on by his teammate Gao Di who headed it into Henan's goal for Qingdao to pocket a comeback win. They are currently second in the standings with two wins and two draws.
In the other game on the night, league leaders Zhejiang walked over Shenzhen 3-0 at home, continuing to top the league on goal difference.
