U.S. President Donald Trump signed two executive orders on what he termed as "reciprocal tariffs" on Wednesday. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries slammed Trump's labeling of the tariff rollout as "Liberation Day," calling it instead "Recession Day," while Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer pointed out that Americans are facing an overall increase in the cost of living due to the Trump administration's tariff policies.
