China is accusing the United States of pursuing hegemony in the name of reciprocity through its latest tariff hikes. Beijing has denounced the U.S.' move as "typical unilateralism, protectionism and economic bullying." China says the tariffs threaten the development rights of nations worldwide, particularly those in the Global South.
