Canada defeated China 11-2 in the bronze medal match at the World Men's Curling Championship in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada, on Sunday.

China suffered a blow in the first end when Xu Xiaoming's final delivery failed to hit any of the hosts' red stones, costing his side three points. They managed to add one point of their own in the third, but made another lethal mistake in the fourth. Xu's takeout left their only yellow stone vulnerable in the house.

Skip Brad Jacobs converted this opportunity into five points for Canada who then stole another two in the fifth to lead 10-1. Both sides scored one more point as the match went on before Canada secured the bronze medal.

Finishing in fourth matched China's best performance at the men's World Championship. The team will have to participate in the qualification event in December for a spot at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.
