U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to impose additional 50 percent tariffs on Chinese imports, while China says it will resolutely take countermeasures to safeguard its rights and interests. One expert in Beijing says Washington's actions would result in a tariff rate of over 120 percent on Chinese imports.
