The Houthi-run al-Masirah TV has reported that the U.S. has conducted 22 airstrikes targeting Houthi sites across northern Yemen. The latest wave of strikes came one day after U.S. airstrikes killed four and wounded 25 others in Sanaa on Sunday night. Ehab al-Fandi reports from Sanaa.

In a scene that captures the harshness of war, residents of the Saawan neighborhood north of the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, woke up to the sound of an American airstrike targeting a residential building in the heart of the area.

The attack left four civilians dead, while more than 20 others were injured, some in critical condition, according to local medical sources.

MOHAMMED AL-QANASS Eyewitness "The tragedy happened at night while people were sleeping. People were scared, children were scared. It's a civilian neighborhood with nothing to do with the military. They shocked us at night."

SADDAM AL-JAADI Eyewitness "This is American aggression that targeted a civilian area, children, and people sleeping peacefully in Allah's protection. They were struck. Even women were not spared. Shops were damaged, and the people were shocked by this aggression, which is a very big crime."

This airstrike is part of a larger American military campaign inside Yemen, which intensified after Ansar Allah forces imposed a blockade on shipping routes linked to Israel in the Red Sea.

Despite American claims that the operations target "military threats," the reality on the ground tells a different story: repeated airstrikes on populated areas, increasing human casualties, and infrastructure collapsing before the eyes of the residents.

IMAD AL-HARAZI Citizen "We say to Trump, these military targets you are hitting are children's toys, and the bodies of children, women, and the elderly. These are the targets you are hitting, Trump."

For many Yemenis, these attacks are part of ongoing suffering. Each airstrike brings a new tragedy: families are displaced, lives are lost, and hope for peace fades.

Despite growing international calls for investigations and accountability, civilians continue to pay the highest price in a conflict that has shown no mercy to anyone.

EHAB AL-FANDI Sanaa "American airstrikes remain a recurring headline in the suffering of Yemenis, as military operations escalate and political solutions remain out of reach. Amid the rubble and the cries of the wounded, civilians continue to pay the price of yet another war with no end in sight. Ehab Al-Fandi, CGTN, Sana'a, Yemen."
