The 2025 Wangwu Mountain Tourism Festival has kicked off in central China gathering thousands of visitors as the event celebrates its 19th edition. Lu Sirui is there.
Wangwu Mountain, in Central China's Henan Province, is poised to become one of the hottest tourist destinations in the month of April.
The event features 19 themed activities. Officials say cultural tourism has become a key pillar of the local economy. They hope the festival will attract investment and improve people's lives.
NIU DONGHONG Director, Jiyuan Culture and Tourism Bureau "The festival is temporary, even though it lasts a month. But our long-term goal is to keep building our cultural tourism brand, developing scenic areas, and promoting Jiyuan as a travel destination. That's our enduring mission."
At the opening ceremony, Jiyuan signed 35 high-quality investment projects, with a total investment of more than 17 billion yuan. The projects cover a wide range of industries, including non-ferrous metals, new energy, and much more.
