From April 13 to October 13, Expo 2025 will take place on Yumeshima Island in Osaka, Japan, under the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives." Spanning 184 days, the event will serve as a global platform for participating countries to showcase their latest achievements in technology, culture, and sustainability.

While each World Expo celebrates innovation and exchange, it also leaves behind valuable tangible legacies – notably, its architecture. Many Expo structures continue to serve their cities long after the event, becoming iconic landmarks. One such example is the China Art Museum in Shanghai, east China – formerly the China Pavilion of Expo 2010. Today, it stands as one of the largest art museums in Asia, preserving the architectural grandeur of the Expo while promoting Chinese art and culture to the world. The building is known for its striking red exterior and bold dougong-style design (a traditional Chinese architectural element using interlocking wooden brackets). Its deep red color symbolizes good fortune and happiness in Chinese culture.
