Did you know the Eiffel Tower was built for the 1889 World Expo in Paris? What was once a temporary entrance arch is now one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. Designed by engineer Gustave Eiffel, it was built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution, showing off France's industrial might. At 300 meters tall, it was the tallest structure in the world at the time, a true feat of engineering that embodied the Expo's spirit of innovation.
