Chinese Super League: Shanghai Shenhua edge Zhejiang Pro 3-2 with stoppage-time winner

Shanghai Shenhua secured a dramatic 3-2 victory over Zhejiang Pro at home in the Chinese Super League on Saturday, thanks to a last-gasp goal from Chen Jinyi in the 98th minute.

The match kicked off with Shanghai taking an early lead in the 21st minute, when Joao Teixeira unleashed a powerful long-range shot to make it 1-0. Zhejiang equalized in the 69th minute, with Aaron Boupendza setting up Wang Yudong for a well-placed shot, leveling the score at 1-1.

Just two minutes later, the visitors snatched the lead when a cross from Tong Lei resulted in an unfortunate own goal by Shenhua goalkeeper Bao Yaxiong.

Shanghai responded in the 77th minute, however, after another goalkeeping miscue, this time from Zhejiang's Huo Shenping, who punched the ball directly to substitute Yu Hanchao, who capitalized with a clever lob to tie the score again.

Chen Jinyi emerged as the hero in stoppage time, finishing from close range to clinch a thrilling 3-2 victory for Shenhua, extending their unbeaten run and maintaining their position at the top of the league table with 14 points.

In other CSL action, second-placed Shandong Taishan crushed Shenzhen Peng City 4-0, Wuhan Three Towns ended their five-match winless run with a 3-1 victory over newly-promoted Yunnan Yukun, Dalian Yingbo and Tianjin Jinmen Tiger battled to a 1-1 draw, Meizhou Hakka suffered a 3-1 home defeat to Changchun Yatai, and Qingdao Hainiu fell to Chengdu Rongcheng 1-0, remaining the only team without a win this season.
