Situated on the eastern part of the Indo-China Peninsula, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam covers a land area of about 330,000 square kilometers, with Hanoi as its capital. Linked by mountains and rivers, China and Vietnam established diplomatic relations on January 18, 1950. They have maintained a traditional friendship rooted in historical connections.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam. General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Vietnam from April 14 to 15, at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Luong Cuong.
