In 2024, Vietnam became the fifth country in the world to include Chinese as a compulsory course in schools. During an event titled "Dialogue in the New Era: China-Vietnam Exchange for Young Media Professionals," CGTN's Yang Xinmeng spoke to Duong Duc Tam, a popular Chinese language teacher in Vietnam with around a million social media followers.
