China's Ministry of Commerce said on Wednesday that the U.S. has weaponized tariffs to an irrational level, and China will ignore the meaningless tariff numbers game played by the U.S. side.

In response to a query about Chinese exports to the U.S. facing tariffs of up to 245 percent, a spokesperson for the ministry said China has previously stated its position on the unilateral tariff imposed by the United States multiple times. 

"The U.S. has weaponized tariffs to an irrational level," the spokesperson said, adding that China will resolutely take countermeasures and fight to the end if the U.S. insists on continuing to infringe upon China's rights and interests.
