On April 15, Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Kuala Lumpur for a state visit to Malaysia. CGTN's Stringer in Malaysia spoke with residents about their expectations for the future development of China-Malaysia relations. Tarsame Singh A/L Masa Singh, a resident in Selangor, said President Xi's state visit is very good news for Malaysia and that he hopes it can have a positive impact on the Malaysian economy. Meanwhile, a resident named Hussin sees it as a good sign that Malaysia and China are trying to collaborate with each other. "I hope it's not only on the financial terms or economic terms, but I hope it is also on a social basis, on communication terms, in education, in sports, in every aspect. Future cooperation between Malaysia and China is going to be more extensive."
