In an exhilarating CBA playoff clash on Wednesday, Zeng Fanbo scored a game-high 30 points, leading the Beijing Ducks to a 106-100 victory over the Beikong Royal Fighters in the first-ever Beijing post-season derby. This win leveled their best-of-five quarterfinal series at 1-1.

The opening quarter saw both teams engaged in a fierce back-and-forth battle, with Beikong's Zou Yucheng making a significant impact off the bench, scoring 10 points during a late surge to keep the score tight. At the end of the first quarter, the Ducks held a slender one-point lead.

In the second quarter, despite Zeng's aggressive drives to the basket, Beikong seized control with a 13-0 run, establishing a 58-51 lead by halftime. Beikong continued to display their momentum, but the Ducks began to find their rhythm. Chen Yingjun hit four three-pointers in the third quarter, helping the Ducks reclaim the lead.

The final quarter remained closely contested, but in the closing moments, Zeng stepped up again, hitting a crucial three that helped extend the Ducks' advantage. Ultimately, the Ducks secured a six-point victory, with Zeng finishing the game with 30 points and 4 rebounds, marking a new personal playoff scoring high.

In other playoff action, the Shanxi Loongs outclassed the Guangdong Southern Tigers 116-101 at home, taking a 2-0 lead in their series. Despite Guangdong's strong start, highlighted by Hu Mingxuan's 13 points in the first quarter, Shanxi fought back, regaining the lead and extending it to double digits with a 19-0 run in the second quarter.

The Tigers faced a daunting 30-point deficit at one point, but mounted a comeback led by Troy Gillenwater's 13 points in the third quarter, narrowing the gap to 11. However, a key three-pointer from Yuan Shuai extinguished Guangdong's hopes of a rally, allowing Shanxi to secure the win. Yuan finished the game with 29 points, including nine three-pointers, while Hamidou Diallo added 28 points for the Loongs.
