China's Foreign Ministry on Thursday praised a newly signed mutual visa exemption agreement with Malaysia, calling it a step to deepen ties between the two nations.
The deal, signed during Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Malaysia, removes visa requirements for ordinary and service passport holders traveling between the countries.
It reflects the strong friendship and shared goals of China and Malaysia, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said, adding that it will enhance people-to-people exchanges and cooperation in all fields.
